File under you can't make this stuff up - Casey at iamfacingforeclosure.com is having a "casey-a-thon" to raise $200. He has no money left.

Come on HP'ers, I know most of you think the kid is scum, I know you think he helped inflate (and crash) the housing market, but DAMN, the kid is entertaining. I love that trainwreck/blog, and the housing crash wouldn't be the same without it, or Casey.

I can't even imagine what it's like for someone to have $2.4 million in debt and not $1 to his name to eat, drink jamba juice or god forbid make a payment on the debt (anyone think IndyMac holds Casey's liar's loans?).

If you give a donation, even $1, in keeping with the HP mantra, let him know it's only to be spent on ramen noodles.

Chicken flavor.

It's time for Casey to turn himself into into Sheriff Arpaio out there in Arizona. It's all bologna sandwiches and pink underwear for .25 cents a day from here on out...

Almost worth it for the entertainment value, although like most soaps the interest factor is fading and it would take a major development to rekindle it.

Incidentially, I do no understand how he can be said to have helped to inflate and crash the US property market. He is too insignificant to have had any measurable impact.

Greg Swann will be having one next

Why doesn't he just get a job?

I totally agree. Even the Haterz sights are the same thing day in and day out.

"yawn"

ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz

I would not give him a wooden nickel.

My charity effort is for the truly needy, and KC is a young strong and able bodied fliptard.

did you listen the conference call he had? He doesn't believe in living within his means whatsoever. It's just not there.

Basically he's a upscale urbanite who can't afford the lifestyle he wants.

sed 's/heroin/jamba juice/'........

He is like 80% of Americans - living WAY beyond his means, and totally delusional. . .hmmmm sounds like our government. . .yes, I kind of feel sorry for the kid, but as someone else mentioned, has the thought of working ever entered his mind???

CS is a crook, a liar, and a fraud. Now he's just part of the detrius of humanity, begging for money because he doesn't want to work. He's the poster child of an able-bodied loafer. Wouldn't give him a dime.

Anonymous said...

Young and able? Unemployed? He can join the army, like the poor kids in the Midwest do.

Keith:

I said nothing the last time you proposed this - there were already dozens of HPer's posting to tell you it was a bad idea. But it is more than bad - it is your worst idea in the history of your blog. It's enough to make me want to see more of your jingoistic warmongering about Iran.

Mark in San Diego is correct. Casey is delusional. He needs reality therapy and a job, not a handout. He apparently has web site design abilities and could make a living as a techie.

Let me get this straight: he has no job (not even one at McD's) and wants people to give him $200?!?

That just is a slap to the face of everyone working at McD's and the like and who never lied on loan documents, etc.

GET AN F-ING JOB YOU TWIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey lets be brutally honest here, Casey has burned through just about all of his 15 minutes of fame! He stopped entertaining me when he had his picture taken with huckster extraordinaire Bobby Kiyosaki (Full disclosure....yes I have a couple of his books....to my eternal shame)! I would no more send Casey a dollar than I would bake a file into a cake for Mozilo or the guys a Beazer!

Not in a million years. I'd burn the money first.

if I were him, i'd morph his website into what he says: a place for people to get foreclosure help. the time for that is now. he has no assets to take, so i'm not sur why he's worried about cashcall. hell be just another deadbeat on there list.

Anyone know the price of a package of Ramen? I think it'd be great if HP'ers sent him that - maybe 50 cents?

Ramen-a-Thon

I agree, the kid doesn't deserve our money or mercy. But at the same time, I'm entertained by him and his blog, and I tip him just like I tip the violinist at the Piccadilly tube station

We're all human. Even the failed flippers. Show some mercy and human kindness even to the repugnant I say

Except for Greg Swann of course

No Keith, not sending this crook, that's right CROOK, a damn thing except wishes for at least a brief stay in the big house.

(Crook is a slang term for a criminal or a person of questionable morality. Specifically it refers to someone who is corrupt and uses dishonest or unethical tactics to gain money.)

So does Casey have any properties left? Does he only have them because the banks are trying to avoid foreclosing on them? That could be a BIG story...

How many properties are out there right now banks could take back but don't want to? Things could be FAR worse than what's been reported thus far...

Anonymous said...

Do NOT give him any money. Casey will be a lot more entertaining if he doesn't get the money and CashCall starts knocking on his door.

Anonymous said...

Maybe if Casey moved to the socialist nation of Scandinavia, they would help him since they are more progressive than the ignorant fat Americans.

He needs reality therapy and a job

A job is the primary element of reality therapy.
Throw in a wife and a couple of kids to support and he is on his way to recovery, all without expense to the taxpayers.

Casey is so poor he sold the "blue ball of dumb" (but not his "manbag").

Anonymous said...

The blog did/does do some service in that it does make the train wreck transparent and (am I dreaming here) maybe, hopefully, added to the complexity of the debate about just how people got in this mess.

Maybe Keith can comment, but I just don't see how this is possible to have all that traffic on CS's blog and absolutely no advertising. In other words, it would seem self sabotage is the only explanation.

Sorry, Have to disagree here, not a penny.... he should have gone to college with all the money he spent on those RE training classes, fool.

Like Mr T says: "I pity the fool!"

When asked at a press conference whether he was as stupid as B.A. Baracus, he observed quietly, "It takes a smart guy to play dumb."

Read that last line again.

NOT ONE Penny bailout money coming from me Casey baby

Lost Cause said...

Yeah, I give money to bums in the street too. Pity, yes, that too. I will let you be mean -- I will try to be kind. You can make all of your judgements. I will not say no, when somebody in need asks me. I was once a bum on the street.

Anonymous said...

Somebody mentioned 'blue balls'?

Anonymous said...

What a ridiculous sum of money. Let's say he spends all $200 on the noodles, and some other cheap food. What happens when that runs out in a couple of weeks? What about all his other expenses?

There is a logic to his not getting a job - his wages would only get garnished, and any job he might obtain will never make a dent in his mountain of debt. "Do nothing" is not a bad financial stragegy, it's just morally repugnant, and won't stand him in good stead in court.

Casey can't even ask for a job because who would hire him ? Bottom line is that the kid is a crook and who can trust him now .

If he gets criminal charges filed against him he will at least get some hot meals and a bed to sleep in at the pen .I resent that the taxpaper dollars will go to keeping this punk in jail ,but this is what he deserves . Did Casey give a rats ass that he took this cash back money and spent it ,while someone ,somewhere, is going to lose money because of his fraud ? Casey is a sick criminal puppy . I'm just worried about how many people out there think the same way Casey does .

No money for Casey.

Let him go to bat!

That's a little like saying you don't see how a single termite could any damage to a house, so don't have ill will for the individual termite....

Keith, are getting paid for advertizing Ramen Noodles ;-) ?

Casey does not deserve 1 nickel of my hard-earned money. I put off big purchases, resisted temptation, and focused on retirement planning & my personal savings to get myself into the financial situation I am in today. Casey is the epithamy of irresposibilty and deservers nothing more than a good spanking. Like others have noted, his 15 minutes of fame has come and gone, and he will now learn there is no easy way out of the harsh reality he got himself into.

I say we bring back debtors prisons where we make these irresponsible people do hard labor to pay back their debts. There's alot of work to do in this country. We can have them build the border ditch/wall to stop the illegal invasion of America. After that, they can help clean up the environment by picking up trash. The other option is to send them to Iran so they can destroy their economy.

Everytime you give Casey a dollar, a child in Sudan dies.

Hey fellow HPers, can we forget about Casey? I mean really, he's just another asshole, not the Jesse James of the century.

He doesn't deserve to be canonized in the realm of the Bonnie & Clydes, Carlos the Jackal, Dutch Schultz, or any of the other "super" criminals of lore.
